6 Showstopping Prosecco Cocktails for Your Next Holiday Party

12/14/23

It’s toasting season, and we at Majestic have some wonderful featured proseccos that should be on your wish list. If you’re looking for something to impress your favourite guests at your next holiday party, here are a few of our favourite sparkling cocktails.

  • The Italian 75

A twist on the classic French 75 swapping lemon juice for bright and sweet limoncello and champagne for prosecco. Shake the limoncello and gin over ice, serve into a chilled martini glass, top with prosecco, and zest a bit lemon to add the essential oils and aroma.

    • 1 Part Limoncello
    • 2 Parts Gin
    • 3 Parts Prosecco
    • Lemon Zest to Garnish
  • Negroni Sbagliato

One of the most popular drinks of the year and we have a feeling this less-boozy, slightly effervescent twist on the classic cocktail is here to stay. Simply combine equal parts of each of the ingredients in a glass over ice and serve. Add an orange slice and a few dashes of angostura bitters to elevate it.

    • 1 Part Sweet Vermouth
    • 1 Part Campari
    • 1 Part Prosecco
    • Orange to Garnish
  • Rosemary Amaro Spritz

Don’t be intimidated by simple syrups, they are — as advertised — very easy to make. Plus, they present a great opportunity to incorporate seasonal flavours. For this recipe combine equal parts malty brown sugar and water and add a few sprigs of rosemary to the mixture before you heat to combine. It adds a delightfully Christmas-y touch that enhances the herbal notes of the amaro. After you’ve allowed the syrup to cool, remove the herbs, combine the drink’s ingredients over ice, and add one more sprig of fresh rosemary to garnish. You can also serve it with a fresh cut fig in the bottom of the glass for an extra special twist.

  • The Hugo

A fresh and sweet spritz that has been making the rounds across Europe. Muddle a few mint leaves in the bottom of a glass, add ice, then combine the remaining ingredients before your serve it with a slice of lime.

    • A Few Mint Leaves
    • 1 Part Elderflower Liqueur
    • 2 Parts Prosecco
    • Topped with Sparkling Water
    • Lime to Garnish
  • Sparkling Margarita

We know this one might sound a little adventurous, but if you want to add a bit of summer to your holiday party, this is absolutely the way to do it. Combine triple sec, tequila, and lime juice and shake it over ice, then serve into a chilled champagne or martini glass partially rimmed with salt. Then, top it with prosecco.

    • 1 Part Triple Sec
    • 1.5 Parts Tequila
    • 2 Parts Lime Juice
    • Pinch of Salt for The Rim
    • Topped With Prosecco
  • The Poinsettia

The Poinsettia is like a Cosmo, but better at holiday parties. You can even add a splash of vodka to this one if you’re so inclined. Combine the triple sec and cranberry juice and shake over ice and serve into a chilled martini or champagne glass before you add your prosecco. Garnish with a few fresh cranberries, or a sprig of rosemary — even a bay leaf adds a pleasant touch.

    • Fresh Cranberries to Garnish
